Digital Millennium Copyright Act Notice & Takedown Policy

Reporting Copyright Infringement

If you believe that content shared through PrivateShare infringes your copyright, you may submit a DMCA takedown notice. Please include the following information:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing, including the shared folder URL if available.
  3. Your contact information (name, address, telephone number, email).
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner.
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on behalf of the owner.
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

How to Submit

Send your DMCA takedown notice via email to: dmca@privateshare.app

Upon receiving a valid DMCA notice, we will promptly disable access to the reported content and notify the folder owner.

Counter-Notification

If you believe your content was removed in error, you may file a counter-notification. Counter-notifications must include your contact information, identification of the removed material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe the material was removed by mistake.

Repeat Infringers

We will terminate accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
